Girl Scout Cookies

Girl Scout Cookies
are an icon of American
culture. They're also the
backbone of the Girl
Scout's Cookie Program,
a leading entrepreneurial
program for girls.

Why Sell Cookies?

Selling cookies is directly related to our purpose of helping all girls become
strong, confident and resourceful citizens. It makes girls proud that their efforts provide resources for the Lakes and Pines Council and for their own Girl Scout troops and groups.

Lifelong Skills

By selling cookies, Girl Scouts learn valuable life skills like goal setting, money management and teamwork. Girls also develop strong planning, decision-making and customer service skills that will help them throughout their lives. Many Girls Scouts have become successful business women and credit selling cookies for setting them up for success.

Helping Girls

Every penny received through local cookie sales in the Lakes and Pines region stays in the area to support local troops and programs. Cookie revenue helps us:
  • Recruit and train volunteer leaders.
  • Provide financial assistance so Girl Scouting is available for all girls.
  • Improve and maintain camps and other activity centers.
  • Keep program fees low.
  • Sponsor special events and projects.
Each local council sets the price per box, based on its needs and its knowledge of the local market.
