Field trips. Finger painting. Planting a garden. Daisy Girl Scouts explore their communities in groups of five to 10 girls. Two or more adult leaders create a nurturing environment where young girls can learn. They do activities as a group or can participate in council-sponsored activities throughout the year.

Common Activities for Daisy Girl Scouts

• Arts and crafts projects like finger-painting murals and making colorful barrettes and paper-bag puppets
• Trips to pick pumpkins and apples
• Camping and hiking with their family
• Planning a picnic and making snacks
• Planting a community garden
• Earning patches for activities like reading fun books or helping their community

Awards and Recognition
Daisy Girl Scouts earn a daisy insignia for learning about the Girl Scout Promise and Law. The daisy flower center is earned first, followed by ten "promise petals." The flower segments are ironed on to the front of the Daisy tunic.

Uniforms and Books
Girls can wear a Daisy Girl Scout Membership Pin as a sign of their belonging to the Girl Scouts. They can also wear the Daisy Girl Scout tunic over their clothes or purchase a variety of official Daisy Girl Scout uniform components. The girls place Learning Petals and participation patches on their tunics or in a scrapbook. Girls can buy the Daisy Girl Scout Activity Book for fun projects and ideas.
